Izzy SMS Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to text messages (SMS/MMS) sent and received through Izzy, a messaging platform operated by Izzy Software Inc. ("Izzy," "we," "us"). Izzy is used by community organizations, including sexual assault and domestic violence centres, mental health support services and sexual health education programs (each an "Organization"), to communicate with the people they serve.

1. Program description

When you text an Organization's phone number, or agree to receive texts from an Organization, you may receive messages about your support conversation. These include replies from a support worker or advocate, information about resources and services, and follow-ups you have asked for. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

2. How you opt in

You agree to receive text messages in one of these ways:

• by texting an Organization's number and replying ACCEPT or START to our opt-in message
• by turning on SMS notifications in your Izzy account settings
• by giving consent in person or by phone to an Organization's staff member

You do not have to agree to receive text messages in order to receive services.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your conversation and the follow-ups you ask for.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your text and data plan.

5. How to opt out

You can stop receiving messages at any time. Reply STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE or STOPALL) to any message. You will receive one confirmation text and no further messages from that number. To start receiving messages again, reply START.

6. Help

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at support@izzyplatform.com.

7. Not an emergency service

Text messages may not be monitored at all times, and replies may be delayed. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

8. Carrier disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and device and is not guaranteed.

9. Privacy

Information you share by text is kept confidential and handled according to our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
